fall.

at the risk of sounding like every other girl out there: i love fall.
not because of the beautiful leaves, the fact that i can finally walk to school without melting, halloween, or thanksgiving.....not even because of pumpkin spice (although those are definitely all contributing factors).

if i'm being 100% honest, i mostly love fall because it gets me pumped for christmas. i check each station to see if they're playing christmas music every day on my way home from work.

but, i also don't wanna understate fall and all of our wonderful traditions. it's been a little bit sad not having my family here to celebrate with us this year, but robert and i have been thoroughly enjoying all of the fun activities that autumn has to offer.

sunday morning drives through the canyon. look at those gorgeous leaves:

finally back in my natural habitat. (leggings.)

handsomest husband. being married is the nicest thing. <3

checking out the witches at gardner village.  eating disappointing mediocre food truck food and a giant caramel apple that was probably more caramel than apple.

i'm probably the spoiled rotten one if we're being real, but he looks pretty cute sitting in front of the sign, eh?

robert isn't a big fan of treats (we're working on it).
but he does like caramel apples, so i've been encouraging that every chance i get.

going to see thriller is probably my very favorite october activity. my sweet little dad couldn't bear the thought of us not being able to go, so he surprised us by sending front row tickets. also 225$ worth of gas cards.
best dad award.

hee haws; our quest to find the perfect pumpkin. (we found it and it was only 5 dollars.)

we made it through the corn maze in record timing, but i'm pretty sure the maze didn't even have any wrong turns. we'll probably try another one next weekend, cause this one was like, 3/10. oops
i was mostly just in it for the pumpkin patch.

a-maze-ing.

there it is: 2016's best pumpkin

pumpking.

feeling like champions.

also, i've started getting into hoop embroidery and it's the funnest thing. it's a good way to pass time as robert does his homework. here are a few of my favorites:

this one is probably my #1 favorite so far:

it took about a week, but i'm pretty happy with it.
anyway.

happy fall everyone!

wedding.

if i'm being honest, i'm still not sure why everyone says it's really hard/stressful/exhausting to plan a wedding. planning mine was the easiest thing in the world (which is saying a lot, because stressing is one of my best talents.)

i think part of the reason it was so easy was that i really didn't have any specific hopes or expectations, i just wanted it to be really nice. and it turned out better than i ever could have dreamed. it was the most wonderful, beautiful wedding (maybe i'm biased). literally every last detail was perfect. (my best tip is to choose a reception place that does everything for you. that takes 90% of the  possible stress away.)

we got our wedding pictures back a few weeks ago and we are in love with them. it really was the most magical, perfect day. here are a few* favorites!
(*hit me up if you want to see all 600; i love showing them off.)

i almost lost it just a little when we had to wait an extra half hour for someone to contact our bishop before the sealing. some might argue that i did lose it but i was a really chill bride, so i don't feel too bad about my bridezilla moment.

hugs and happiness.

never a bad moment for a selfie.

peace signs.
my only
our best pose.

shoutout to jen for being the most magical photographer in all of utah. probably in the whole world.

i mean come on. obsessed.

fyi-we may look really happy in these pictures but actually i would have probably murdered someone with my bare hands for food at this point.

we picked the best day. after we left for our honeymoon, the weather got rainy and yucky. we lucked out and got the most perfect, happy, sunshiney day.

flower appreciation.

peace signs always seem necessary, i can't help it.

i felt like a princess and temple square looked like a castle and i got to marry my sweet prince charming. it was an actual fairytale day.

i want to print every single picture and cover our entire apartment with them.

robert took quite a while to kiss me the first time, but ever since then it's been smooth sailing and now we get to kiss each other forever.

trying to be serious is not our strong point but i love this picture anyway.

only smiling because dad went to find food.

peace signs and smiles because it's finally luncheon time. (the luncheon did not disappoint.)

we kept whispering silly things to each other and our poor photographer had to deal with a lot of giggles but can you blame us?

green.

i don't think i'd ever seen anything as beautiful as my wedding cake. the moment i saw it was definitely one of the best parts of the day. maybe that sounds stupid but just ask robert. i was so stoked.
also: being lady-like is not my best talent.

cake time = happy time. i forced him to eat a bite.
he doesn't like cake but i think he secretly loved it because i mean look at how perfect it was.

and i finished the night off with a graceful flower toss.

something they don't tell you about weddings: your wedding day is happiest, most magical, wonderful day. yes. however, it was also the longest, most exhausting day of our lives and by about 2:00 we just wanted it to end so we could hop on a plane and chill on the beach for a week.

i'm kind of glad it's over,
i kind of want to relive the whole thing a million times,
and i'm kind of so so so happy that i get to spend the rest of forever with my robert.
